My son is a little rough on his action figures (most 4 or 5 year olds are), so unless your child has a tender touch, keep looking. If you can find the solid plastic bendable Scooby figures, I'd recommend those instead.

(More customer reviews)My 21 month old is obsessed with Captain feathersword, and even went around the house with a dip spreader and his pirate hat. So I figured I'd buy him this as it was much safer than a dip spreader. When we received the package he was thrilled, and immediately asked to watch the wiggles so he could put his new sword to good use. :D
My only complaint is that after a week the seams starting coming apart, nothing a needle and thread couldn't fix though. In all fairness though, they do have it listed as a halloween costume accesory so i guess it is not exactly made for a nearly 2 year old toddler to play with.

We got this for him and taught him how to use the buttons, joystick and he enjoys playing. Its a simple game, and even he (not seeing) does fairly good at it. This is a great boost for him. There are fighting levels, motorcycle riding levels, and megazord levels.

The letter games are a bit easier but incorporate so many other things that ends up making them hard. I would say this game should have been rated for kids ages 6-8. It does offer a lot of games but they are just a bit more challenging than we expected.

However, my complaint is the figures ride around on the spinner and they don't stay in place. When you spin it - they fly out constantly. After you play it a few times, the bottom of the monster gets banged up and doesn't fit into his slot on the spinner anymore. I feel this could have been designed much better than what it is. But, as I mentioned, my son does love to play the game, even if you are constantly putting the pieces back after each spin.

They already had the tag pen so this purchase was a no brainer. Kids love the story and the games, they've unlocked 4 of the 6 rewards too( rewards are kind of weak in my book but kids love getting them). Only negative is matching the parts of the castle with the words, very hard for the kids. They've looked at this book well over 50X so I consider it a good buy

He loved it! It's very creepy looking, especially for a 5 year old. The bag that comes in the box isn't quite as "glowing" as it appears in the picture but he was crazy for it. The only reason I'm rating this as ok is because the arm broke off after only approx two weeks of play. It is a rather expensive toy to have the arm break off that soon. My son won't even touch it now so we had two weeks of great play and now nothing.

(More customer reviews)In spite of the fact that this game is really just "Clue" repackaged with a Scooby-Doo theme and there are no new theme-based rule "twists," it's still a great deal of fun. It has, in fact, been repackaged very well!
The mansion boasts most of the same rooms... with new artwork since it appears that the gang has arrived at a "haunted" house... The Mystery Machine is parked in the Courtyard (nice touch). The rest of the traditional rooms are included (in a slightly ruined and abandoned state) and, of course, there is the Graveyard - bottom right corner of the board in this version. (Replaces the Study.)
Scooby is Col. Mustard; Shaggy is Prof. Plum. Velma is Mrs. Peacock. Daphne is Ms. Scarlet (who elses?) and Fred is Mr. Green. Mrs. White is the maid in this very unkempt house.
Each character is represented quite nicely in pewter... as are the weapons: Redbeard's Sword, the Ghost Clown's Bomb, the Witch Doctor's Staff; Frankenstein's Chain; Carlotta's Spell Book; and the Funland Robot's Ray Gun.
All of the artwork on the cards is "Classic Scooby."
All in all: recommended for all Clue enthusiasts and Scooby-Doo fans. Great fun. Was Scooby abducted by Frankestein in the Graveyard? Or was Daphne abducted by Redbeard in the Lounge? You decide!

My son is tall and lean. I was worried that no one would know who he was, but thanks to the wig and goatee, I'd say 90% of people guessed right away.
The wig is hilarious! It's a big crimped mess. The wig is even made to make your child's head look like Shaggy's... There is extra "bump" above the forehead, with crazy hair, just like Shaggy's. Adults would laugh out loud as my preschooler walked by. This is an unexpected Halloween costume choice, and I'm glad I bought it!

Called the company and the picture online was not updated to what the manufacturer supplied the company with. The manufacturer must have switched this scooby costume (with the cuter head) with another scooby costume that is seen much cheaper elsewhere on the internet. The company "Costume Craze"'s customer service was excellent at handling this situation and took care of us. Costume Craze had very friendly customer service and I would buy through them again.

The rings are approx 2 inches. They do not adjust on the back, but they are a one size fits most children. Would look great on any cake, brownie, cup cake. Can also be used for party favors and goodie bags. These do have small parts, not for children under 3.

I looked all over for it and Amazon was the only place i could find it. The price was high for just a plain ole white dog with a candy cane colored collar, but i still bought it. I almost wish I would've just found a solid white dog and a collar and put it all together myself (would've been cheaper), but my daughter was very very excited on Christmas morning when Santa Paws was sitting under the tree so it made everything a little better.

We were very disappointed so we contacted the seller and they did nothing to compensate for their False Advertising! Do not trust this seller! It is very kid friendly, and he can set it up and work it all by himself, which is really nice. The only complaint I have is that the sound part is pretty uninteresting. It only says like one or two words, and I don't think that it is worth the extra money to buy the super sounds slide reels. Fortunately, the projector will work with any of the viewmaster slides. My son doesn't seem to care, so we will just continue to use the projector with the regular slides.

Some grandkids are advanced and some not so swift. They all have become fascinated with Computer Cool School and the programs for it. They will often spend several hours with it. The lessons are quite instructive and while we have not tried to measure it, we are convinced that they are learning from it. We have been using computer software with kids since 1981 (yes, on an Apple IIe). Computer Cool School is our top choice today for young kids.

I bought one at a local gas station 8 years ago (he was sitting then - I guess with age, he now needs to lie down).I bought a new vehicle where Scooby 2 will lay comfortably. Scooby 1 now resides next to the monitor, a little faded but in great shape.

There is only one very simple repetative main game, throwing food at the monster with the correct answer and a simple round of eating snacks before the timer runs out. Other Leapster games are more elaborate. The kids are not interested in this one because there isn't much to it. When you buy online it is hard to read the box and deduce the game details. I got it on sale for about half price, at least.

(More customer reviews)My son wanted to add this ship to his Playmobil Pirate collection. It has a lot of small pieces to keep track of (or bag and use when kids are older). I've put quite a few Playmobil ships and sets together, so most of the work was easy, but I did find this set of instructions harder to follow than others. Had I not constructed other Playmobil ships, I would have been more confused.
Over all this is a sturdy ship and the pieces click in place and can be taken off during battles or shipwrecks. It even has a neat feature where the ghost pirates can pop up from under the deck. My son likes this a lot and plays with it daily with his other pirate ships, islands etc.

A five year old can play it if you read the directions to them.(recommended for 6 and up) It comes with a flashlight, 4 light-up goblins, 8 ghosts that represent past villains (their pictures are on the bottom), 12 villain cards, game board, spinner, and 5 character movers (Scooby Doo,Fred,Velma,Daphney,and Shaggy.) Children enjoy Lighting up the goblins to find villains and collecting ghost villains. I wouldn't say educational, but a fun game.

(More customer reviews)I bought this Halloween costume for my daughter in the child's medium size, the largest children's size available. The medium is supposed to be a size 8-10. My daughter is 6 and normally wears a size 7 or 8, so I thought this costume might be slightly big on her. Wrong. The medium is really more like a 7 than an 8-10. Far worse, however, is the tiny wig that comes with the costume. My little girl burst into tears when the wig did not fit her head. Mind you, she has a normal sized head for someone her age; the wig is even too small on my 1-year old son! I compared the wig to the little knit cap that my son got in the hospital when he was born, and they are about the same size. (Did these manufacturers do any research at all before they sized this thing???) Now I am faced with the additional challenge of trying to find another orange wig with bangs in time for Halloween, or pray that stretching the wig over a bowling ball for a month makes it big enough to fit a head that is larger than a newborn's.

Scooby-doo Mystery Machine Johnny Lightning Die Cast Review

(More customer reviews)Johnny Lightning has outdone all other manufacturers when it comes to the Mystery Machine. Their 1:64 sized (standard everyday Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning etc size) Mystery Machines are the same as the drawings of the van in the classic Scooby Doo cartoon series. Other manufacturers such as Matchbox just repaint any old van and try and pass it off as the Mystery Machine. You'll find Matchbox's one in Matchbox TV Heroes 5-Pack Scooby Doo. Matchbox has quite a few vehicles in other five packs as well with Scooby Doo show characters and scenes icons on them, some are quite good so they are worth checking out but if it's the Mystery Machine that actually looks like the Mystery Machine that you're after, you've got to go with Johnny Lightning.
Since obviously after investing all the money in designing and making the mould there's no way you can pass the Mystery Machine off as other vehicles, so the vehicle has been released by Johnny Lightning quite a few times. I would not doubt it will be done in the future as well. The versions out there are from Hollywood on Wheels Release 3 are the ones that are the ones that people who just want vehicles that were in TV programs and not promoting them. One is the same colour one as the one for sale here, but with no dog or other character on the roof. The other is a darker green one again with no character on the roof. Those two are the hardest and most expensive to obtain. They also have roof racks which the ones with characters on them don't.
Four more were released in Hollywood on Wheels Release 5. One was sort of a shiny looking tacky looking metallic dark green colour again with no character on the roof and roof racks. One was the one for sale on this page, the light colour with Scooby on the roof but no roof racks. The other two were again the same colour this time with either a zombie or Shaggy on the roof and no roof racks.
There was also a version with the roof racks that has no paint on it at all so looks like metal. It was released in the Hollywood on Wheels Raw release. Unless you're really into Scooby Doo and collecting all the Mystery Machines you'll probably want one of the others. That one is pretty rare and hard to find too.

Be aware that this seller also has a strict return policy on costumes that I was not aware of. Sales after September 30th are final on costumes. In a way, I can't blame them because I am sure that there are parents out there who return used costumes. But most sites will allow returns as long as the package is postmarked before Halloween. I am disappointed because now I have no choice but to allow my kid to be uncomfortable all day long on Halloween.

I would refuse to pay anything more than that. Toys R Us is out of stock on all Scooby Doo items, but I guarantee as soon as the holidays are over they will be plentiful. She wouldn't tell me what she wanted for Christmas until two weeks before, so when she finally told me she wanted a Scooby Doo puzzle, I looked everywhere for one. I had no luck at any store, so I went to Amazon four days before Christmas and found this one.
She squealed when she opened this and was so happy. Of course she got more presents than this one puzzle, but this is the one she really wanted.
She took it to my mom's and the box is really flimsy. The box broke the first time it was opened. The puzzle is fairly durable itself, because none of the pieces have been broken yet. It is a little more expensive for a cheap puzzle than I would like to pay, but my daughter wanted one and I couldn't break her heart at Christmas.

(More customer reviews)The way the game is setup to be played is more on an individual basis. Each person in-turn rolls the dice and then puts a marker on their own card only. I have found the game to be more entertaining if each person rolls the dice in turn, but everyone places a marker at each roll of the dice. I think that makes the game more enjoyable, more interactive, and overall it goes quicker. When played using the regular rules, the age 5 children quickly became bored. Even when played with mother, father, and age five child, it was a one gamer. I think this is a good game to have in the set of games, but I wouldn't suggest it as loads of fun. It is something different and interesting, but note hugely enteraining. I do like the durability of the set. The dice are large and the bingo cards are thick. That is good stuff. The dice do have stickers on them, instead of being engraved pictures, so there could be a durability issue with that over long periods of use. Still, I think it is worth the price and is a good enough buy to recommend it.

She kept two or three of the total nine that I bought for her. The rest went to friends. Even on my six year old's hands, they lasted days. Started looking ratty about five days into it and I scrubbed them off at about seven days. I was impressed and so was my daughter. Excellent!

The hat didn't work very well on my granddaughter and the collar was kind of a joke. It had gotten bent up and because it was made out of thin foam, we didn't want to iron it. But the child was definitely recognizeable as Scooby and it was easy to get on and off as long as she had adult help so I would say this is a decent Halloween costume as far as things go. It didn't last very long for playing in, but Halloween was fine.

(More customer reviews)My daughter loves using the Whiz Kid system. Although she has a Leapster, it is much harder for her to navigate which causes quite a bit of frustration. She is in a Scooby Doo phase right now and was extremely happy to open these up on Christmas morning. There is a wide range of learning activities covered in the pages. She sits there and plays with them until she's gone through all 40 sheets! The graphics on the pages are bright and colorful, and it is very easy for her to open the lid and swap pages as she completes them. Many of the activities are still a bit advanced for her (which doesn't stop her from using those pages) but there are a number of them that are on her level. The pages are quite durable so I don't have reservations about letting her handle them completely on her own.

(More customer reviews)My four year old has nearly all of the leapster games for his age range and this one is the first one I have been truly disappointed in. The game involves searching for puzzles and clues by tapping on areas of a picture. Some of the clues are quite difficult for my son to find (or maybe the area you need to tap is too specific/small). Some of the little games are a bit difficult for him as well, so I would recommend waiting on this game if you are thinking of purchasing it for a 4 year old. I would guess it is better suited for 5-7 year olds.
Either way, the overall design and polish of this game just isn't as good as other leapster games we own. I wouldn't recommend it to others but did give it two stars since my son seems to enjoy it (with some help). If you are just starting your leapster library or only plan on having a few games, skip this one and go with Penguins of Madagascar or Mr. Pencil instead.

(More customer reviews)This toy has been a permanent fixture in our home for about 3 years now. My boys have had and passed their "Scooby Doo" phase but this van is still in "active use" in our home. The back of the van is deep enough to fit a variety of toys and action figures. I think it is housing "teen titans" today. The front seats are large enough to accomodate the same variety of action figures too.
I purchased two of these (one for each child), for Christmas 3 years ago. I never imagined they would become as ordinary in our living room as the sofa.
I highly recommend this toy for children ages, 4-10.

The unit comes with "Jumpin' Bean Island", and I bought Spongebob and the Disney Princesses, but I must say, the "Jumpin Bean island game is the best of the three. It's educational approach is very, very good, covering math, reading, memory, etc. Tow thumbs up from the Jay-man!
Perhaps I could have just bought some educational games to play on my PS2, but then what would I do?!?!

This took a little while to figure his little mind out.But once he started to play with it for awhile he finally go the hang of it. You don't have to be mechanically inclined just follow the steps to what they tell you and go from there. If that does not work call the "tech support" we did and BAMM...the damn thing works great..!!!Then we had a daughter she started to play it a couple of months after she turned [...]. Now she wants to play interact Tv when my son plays after his "gamecube"..(little adverstising here) on the tv so she doesn't feel left out. Either me or my wife or even my [...] son will sit down with her aqnd play it with her. This sysytem is a blast for kids to learn hand-eye coordinations and interactions with the hands,very ingenius for a system to run of dvd player as a remote plus the games you can buy. Just wish they could make more than 10(I think) games for it.

I've read the reviews about them being fragile, but these figures are a lot less fragile than other items I have purchased for my daughter. For example, she has come to show me more than a few Disney Princess figures with the heads broken off. My daughter (5) has played with these figures with other kids (5 to 7 years old). We've had them at least a month now and they've been lots of places, so I'd say their durability is good.
The one complaint that I have about these figures is that they are very difficult to stand up by themselves. However, my daughter does not seem to mind that much. I was frustrated a few times when she made me play the four people so she could focus on playing Scooby Doo. I couldn't make most of the other figures stay standing up. Well, that was only my problem, she could care less if they are laying down, sitting down, whatever - as long as we are playing. So, while it is a bit of a bummer for me, in the grand scheme of things - no big deal. Also, you can make them stand up, it just takes a bit of effort.
This other Scooby Doo Scooby-Doo Figure 5-Pack is supposed to be easier when it comes to making the characters stand and it is supposed to be even more durable. However, if you read the reviews for the product, some people find that set to have an unpleasant odor. Further, that other set costs more than I am willing to pay.
This set of figures may be tougher to get to stand up and overall less durable, but they work for our family and friends. Also, none of us has smelled any noticeable odor emanating from them.
This set has five characters and was only $10 at Toys R US. To me the set is worth about $15. I would probably not have purchased it for $20+. The price is right at Toys R US. If you don't have one of those Toys R US stores in your neighborhood, then paying a bit more to have them delivered to your door is probably worth it.

Scooby-Doo Bop Bag Review

It was a bummer for our nephew and not worth the cost to ship it back and maybe have the same problem.

(More customer reviews)We bought these for our 3 year old son for Christmas. It has been a month since then and our son loves them, but there is a BIG problem. The paint on them all had been steadily falling off. Freddy now has only patches of paint on his arms, and Daphne has only a spot of paint left on her head. With the recent issues involving Chinese made toys, I decided to throw them all out this morning. The toys are great as long as you don't mind you children ingesting the paint from them. If you do buy them, check them constantly for signs of deterioration. But, I would highly discourage this purchase.

(More customer reviews)My son wanted to take money from his piggy bank to buy a Leapster game. He wanted the Scooby-Doo game as soon as he saw it but was very disappointed. There are only 2 games on it and you have to turn the Leapster off/on to switch between the games. If this game was cheaper than the others, then I could see it only having 2 games but it is about the same price. I wouldn't recommend it.
